The Property Industry Reforms saw major changes to the Property Licensing qualifications, pathways and Continuing Professional Education requirements. Only providers Approved by the Commissioner of Fair Trading will be authorized to issue CPD hours for Compulsory CPD Topics determined by Fair Trading. Career Gateway is a NSW Fair Trading Approved Provider.

2020 Property Reforms further introduced the CPD Year, regardless of when your license is due for renewal, you must complete your required CPD during each CPD Year that commences 23 March - 23 March the following year. Approved Providers are required to submit student record of completion to NSW Fair Trading which will allow proper regulation on top of the current self declaration and random audit process. 

 What CPD topics do I need to complete? 
  • Categories of CPD for class 2 licence holders
    There are two categories of CPD topics
    1. Compulsory (3 Hours)
    2. Elective (3 Hours)
  • Categories of CPD for class 1 licence holders
    There are two categories of CPD topics
    1. Compulsory (3 Hours)
    2. Elective (3 Hours)
    3. Business Skills (3 Hours) - exempt for 2020-2021 CPD Year
  • Assistant agents take note
    Assistant Agents are NOT required to complete the Compulsory and Elective CPD units, instead they MUST complete a minimum of 3 units from their related Certificate IV qualification each CPD Year
